Last night I attended the Northern Colorado CSA picnic in Loveland, Colorado. I had a terrific time and it was nice talking to everybody that attended. Besides eating a lot of tasty gluten free foods, I also had a booth where I handed out free samples of Simply Boulder Culinary Sauce.
The picnic was “potluck” and besides bringing food to share, most people brought recipes for the dishes they brought with them. I’m really mad at myself since I forgot to bring back recipes with me. There were a lot of good ones.
In addition to members bringing food with them to contribute to the picnic, there was also another vendor present. Udi’s also had a booth where they handed out samples of their gluten free baked goods. My favorite thing that they had was the blue berry muffins, although everything I sampled of theirs was delicious.
If you’re in the Denver area and want to go to a gluten free picnic, it’s not too late! The Denver CSA is holding their picnic on August 8th and the Boulder County chapter’s is on September 13th. As mentioned, most CSA chapters have gluten free picnics. Chapter web sites can be found on the CSA web site.
