In order to promote riding bicycles to work, many communities have bike to work days. According to Wikipedia it’s held on the third Friday of May across the United States. Although it may typically be on the third Friday of May, I’ve found that it varies by community.
In Boulder, bike to work day is just a few days away. It’s the morning of June 24th between 6:30 and 9:00 AM. There will be over 40 breakfast stations where people commuting on bikes can stop to grab a free breakfast. One of the many breakfast stations is the Vitamin Cottage on Pearl Street. This year they’re going a step further by giving bicyclists things they can take with them. Besides offering breakfast, the Boulder Vitamin Cottage is teaming up with several natural and organic food manufactures to give people complimentary full size samples of natural and organic food products.
Simply Boulder Culinary Sauces is one of the manufactures that will be giving away free full sized samples. We’re going to be giving away over 500 bottles of our culinary sauces! Other companies giving away free full sized samples include Honest Tea, Kind Bars, and Eldorado water. As a note Simply Boulder, Honest Tea, and Kind Bars have commited to providing at least 500 samples per company. I’m not sure how many samples Eldorado is providing, but I heard they’re bringing a delivery truck to the event. So I’m guessing it will be a lot of water!
The Boulder Vitamin Cottage will be participating in bike to work day between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM on June 24th.
