Simply Boulder Switches to 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil

As most of our customers know, Simply Boulder has always used olive oil in our products.  In order to be as healthy as possible we only use olive oil and never blend it with canola or soybean oil.  In the past we used an all natural pure olive oil.  By definition pure olive oil has to contain at least 10% extra virgin, but our contained 50% extra virgin.  I’m happy to announce that we have raised the bar and now only use 100% extra virgin olive oil.

In one of my previous blogs on olive oil, I discussed what makes olive oil extra virgin.  To recap, being classified as extra virgin is defined by acid content.  If it’s less than .08% oleic acid then its extra virgin.  A lower oleic acid means it’s fresher and higher in quality.  I’m proud to say that Simply Boulder Culinary Sauces is one of the very few brands that exclusively use extra virgin olive oil in all of our sauces.
